Transition Training Fund Scotland –

Funding Available for IRCA Certified Training

Are you currently working, or have you recently worked, in Scotland’s oil and gas industry and considering your next career move?

You may be eligible for financial support towards industry-recognised training through the Skills Development Scotland Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund 2026/27.

QHSE Aberdeen can support eligible applicants with IRCA-certified management systems training as part of their approved training programme.

What is the Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund?

The Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund is administered by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and is designed to help eligible oil and gas workers develop the skills required to transition into growing sectors of the Scottish economy.

The 2026/27 fund supports eligible workers looking to transition into areas including:

  • Clean and sustainable energy
  • Wider decarbonisation
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Life sciences
  • Defence

Funding is subject to individual eligibility and approval by Skills Development Scotland.

Applicants should therefore apply for funding and receive approval before booking or commencing their training.
