To enable participants to lead an audit team and/or carry out external audits on third parties or suppliers. This will be achieved by developing skills to effectively plan, perform, and report the results of first, second and third-party quality audits to develop and improve the maturity level of the Environmental Management System (EMS) to increase the value to the Organisation.

- How to identify the importance of legal requirements
- Applying the process approach and risk-based thinking to audit planning
- Required attributes of an auditor and lead auditor and their roles and responsibilities
- Environmental Management System implementation issues
- Planning, preparing, conducting, reporting, and following up internal audits, following ISO 19011
- Report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the quality management system following ISO 19011
