Previous Knowledge Requirements
Attendees must be familiar with the standard’s content and structure to benefit from this course. Relevant experience or having previously completed an IRCA (or equivalent) ISO Lead Auditor Course may evidence this.
Before starting this course, the delegate shall demonstrate evidence of meeting the pre-requisite requirements such as the following:
- Lead Auditor qualification in a different ISO standard
- Completion of FD113 ISO 14001:2015 Foundation EMS training course
Course Objectives
To enable those attending to plan, perform, and report the results of Environmental Audits with the aim of developing and improving an organisation’s Environmental Management System (EMS). To help delegates understand the key attributes of an efficient and effective EMS and the role of the Lead Auditor in its continual improvement and development.
Course Content
This three-day Auditor Conversion Training course is delivered via a mixture of presentations & group exercises. The course will, but not limited to, cover the following areas:
- Risk-based thinking for EMS and Leading audits
- Leading Audits to ISO 14001:2015 requirements
- Environmental Management System implementation issues
This course meets the training requirement for certification to IRCA’s EMS Scheme. On satisfactory completion of this course, an IRCA certificate will be provided.
