QHSE Aberdeen delivers strategic QHSE support across global operations and is pleased to highlight the successful completion of STR’s recent ISOQAR surveillance audits. The audits covered three international locations: Great Yarmouth, Australia, and Houston, and assessed compliance against ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety). This achievement reflects the strong collaboration between STR and QHSE Aberdeen, as well as the commitment shown across all sites to maintaining and improving their management systems.
As part of this engagement, QHSE Aberdeen provided interim Group QHSE Manager support on a part time basis, working closely with STR’s leadership team. This role involved:
• Leading preparation activities for all three surveillance audits
• Ensuring multi-site alignment across global operations
• Reviewing and strengthening core QHSE processes
• Providing hands-on support to local teams to ensure audit readiness
Despite geographical separation and varying operational demands, each site demonstrated strong engagement and a clear focus on continuous improvement. During the preparation process, several opportunities for improvement were identified within STR’s management system. Working collaboratively with STR’s Group Technical and Operations Director, these are now being actioned to further enhance the organisation’s approach to quality, environmental, and health and safety performance.
The positive audit outcomes are a direct reflection of the hard work, openness, and commitment shown by STR teams globally. For QHSE Aberdeen, this project has demonstrated the value of collaborative engagement, providing responsive, practical support that enables organisations to operate with confidence during critical audit periods.
